Banyuwangi, The Indonesia Post – Chairman of the Indonesian Parliament, Puan Maharani, hopes that the use of information technology is not only available in big cities, but can also enter and be used for the benefit of public services to villages, including remote areas.
“This technology infrastructure should not only be in big cities, because Indonesia’s territory is dominated by remote and remote villages,” she said during a working visit to the Sukojati Village Hall, Blimbingsari District, Banyuwangi Regency, East Java. (1/3/2021).
On that occasion, Puan expressed her appreciation for the breakthroughs made by the Banyuwangi Regency Government by maximizing the use of technology to serve the public and efforts to resolve a number of population affairs through the smart village program (Kampung Cerdas).
Kampung Cerdas which was initiated by the Banyuwangi Regency Government, she said, is one way to bring public services closer to the village level, including facilitating access for the poor to make a poor statement letter (SPM) to get free health services.
“We see technology being used to serve the community and make it easier for the apparatus to serve the citizens,” she said.
The PDIP politician hopes that information technology will gradually be used in all lines of public service and drive the local economy.
According to her, program supervision is also carried out by means of information technology tools through a complete system with coordinate points and drawings of development projects, thus closing the gap for multiple or fictitious projects.
Therefore, Puan Maharani advised government officials to continue to improve services to the community by utilizing technology.
“Our duty and function is to serve the community. If the community is satisfied, it means that our work is correct, “she said.
During her working visit to Banyuwangi, Puan Maharani was also accompanied by the Regent of Banyuwangi Ipuk Fiestiandani Azwar Anas, and saw how the Sukojati Village apparatus served various needs of the community through the Sekawan application.
In the Sekawan application, there are 24 types of services, from obtaining birth certificates to death certificates, and all are completed in just five minutes, including making electronic KTPs.
Puan Maharani also inspected the public service system at the Banyuwangi Regency Public Service Lounge. Puan witnesses population data and surveillance systems which are all digitally integrated.
The system provides a feature to view the number of poor people and data on citizens who have received real social assistance.
In addition, the use of Village Funds (DD) and all projects that use DD can be more easily monitored and monitored for development progress. So that if there is fraud, it can be anticipated early. (jek/bbs)
