Palembang, The Indonesia Post – Head of South Sumatra Family Welfare (TP PKK) Hj. Febrita Lustia Herman Deru (Feby Deru) said that growing healthy, intelligent children is a form of our common concern, that children are responsible for raising them and a strong inner bond is needed to keep them growing healthy.
This was conveyed when Feby Deru in an outreach program about Stunting in the context of PKK Action and Movement as well as the socialization of sanitation and the importance of Health Protocols (Prokes) about Covid-19 at the Kasih Gemilang Posyandu at the residence of Mr. Joko / Mrs.
“Healthy and smart children are our shared dreams and we must nurture and guide them so that the future is in line with our common hope,” she said.
Feby explained, Stunting shows the condition of chronic malnutrition, occurring during the earliest period of growth and development of children. Not only short, but stunting also has many bad effects on children.
On that occasion, Feby reminded the public to always avoid Covid-19 with the 5M Movement, namely:
wear a mask, wash your hands with soap and running water, keep your distance,
stay away from the crowd, and limit mobilization and interaction.
“I invite, in order to see the development of the child from the womb to the birth of the baby, we must be diligent in consulting and must be present to see the development of the child at the Posyandu” he concluded.
At the end of the event, Feby reviewed the program and the completeness of the Posyandu and provided assistance in the form of gifts to approximately 80 children.
Also attending were the Head of Sako Sub-District of Palembang City, Amiruddin Sandy, S.STP, M.Si, AKP Rian Suhendi, Chair of the Kasih Nora Posyandu along with members of the Sumsel PKK. (ojn/hms)
