The President of the Republic of Indonesia, Ir. On the occasion, Joko Widodo said that in the 2021 APBN the PUPR Ministry had the largest portion of the budget with a value of Rp. 149.8 trillion.
With this amount of budget, Jokowi emphasized to the Ministry of PUPR to be able to use it so that it would have a significant impact.
“Providing leverage for our economy, making our national construction sector revive,” he said.
Related to this, Jokowi also said that with the movement of the construction sector, this would provide a broad multiplayer effect in the construction sector, such as opening job opportunities for construction workers and moving the supply chain in the construction sector.
Closing his remarks Jokowi advised that the tender / early selection process that had not been completed could be completed immediately in order to accelerate the work in 2021, “this needs to be done, considering that we are still in a crisis condition. The spirit must be different, the aura must be different, by working faster, we will leverage economic growth, “he concluded.
In addition, the Minister of PUPR RI, Ir. Mochamad Basoeki Hadimoeljono, M.Sc., Ph.D said that the Ministry of PUPR since October 2020 has conducted tenders / early selections for 3,175 packages with a total value of Rp. 38.6 trillion, “Until today (Friday, 15/1) the tender process for 1,991 packages worth Rp. 14.6 trillion “, he said.
