Indonesia is the largest tuna producer in the world

Jakarta, The Indonesia Post – Workers unload frozen tuna caught from a refrigerated truck at Tanjungwangi Port, Banyuwangi, East Java, Wednesday.

The Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries stated that Indonesia is the largest producer of tuna, skipjack and tuna in the world with a production share of 15 percent, followed by the Philippines 7.3 percent, Vietnam 6.6 percent and Ecuador 6.1 percent. (mhn/bbs)
