Jakarta, TheIndonesiaPost – President Joko Widodo has hopes for Eid this time. He hopes that the Covid-19 pandemic can soon pass so that residents can soon stay in touch with their families back home.
“Hopefully this pandemic will pass soon so we can meet and let each other go,” Jokowi wrote on his Instagram account.
Jokowi also appealed at the time of this pandemic, residents can share Eid greetings virtually using the telephone.
“Hopefully all of the physical and spiritual apologies can be conveyed and received with all my heart even though only by telephone or video call,” he said.
On this year’s Eid, Jokowi does not hold an open house as usual, it aims to prevent transmission of the coronavirus (Covid-19). He also advised the public to be able to deal with this situation together.
President Jokowi performed Idulfitri prayer 1441 H in the front yard of Wisma Bayurini, Bogor Presidential Palace.
Jokowi and his wife together with their youngest son Kaesang Pangarep performed the Idul Fitri prayer in the congregation led by the Chairman of the DKM Baitussalam Mosque, Bogor Presidential Palace Muhammadun at 06.32 WIB.
In his sermon on “Idulfitri Hijrah Momentum”, Muhammadun conveyed Idulfitri is a momentum to erase all sins and mistakes, and momentum for migrations to good.
“If before Ramadan, we are hostile to each other, insult each other, make lots of mistakes.
