Palembang, The Indonesia Post – South Sumatra Governor H. Herman Deru (HD) invited a number of media companies that are members of the South Sumatra Indonesian Cyber Media Association (AMSI) to prioritise professionalism in their work.
This professionalism is carried out by applying and prioritising the principle of check and recheck in the news and management of the mass media.
“I ask AMSI to educate the media to produce news that priorities checks and rechecks,” said HD.
In addition to prioritising the principle of check and recheck, his party also invites all companies that are members of AMSI not to carry out false or incorrect opinions.
“Do not let the wrong opinion lead. We must prioritise our ethics as South Sumatra people,” he explained.
HD assesses, AMSI already has a predicate that has not been polluted and is still good in the eyes of the community, for that he asked that the good predicate must be maintained.
HD hopes that AMSI can provide education and become an example for press companies in running the company’s wheels well.
Meanwhile, Secretary of AMSI South Sumatra, Romi Maradona said, since its establishment in 2018, there have been 15 press companies that are members of AMSI South Sumatra.
