Palembang, The Indonesia Post – South Sumatra Governor H Herman Deru attended the 36th Anniversary celebration of the Open University via virtual. On that occasion, HD congratulated the 36th Dirgahayu for UT, I hope UT will remain a proud university for the community.
On that occasion, the Governor of South Sumatra H Herman Deru was chosen as the best partner in celebrating the 36th Anniversary of the Open University (UT) 2020. Governor Herman Deru was the best partner of the Distance Learning Program Unit (UPBJJ) which is the technical implementation unit of UT in area.
Virtually, the Indonesian Minister of Education and Culture, Nadiem Anwar Makarim, B.A., M.B.A, also congratulated UT Dirgahayu. He appreciated UT’s role in providing good and affordable educational services for all levels of society.
“During the last 10 years UT has undergone a rapid transformation following the times along with the rapid development of technology, through the application of online learning. So that it can facilitate access to learning for residents from cities to villages,” he said.
At the age of 36 UT, Nadiem hopes that UT can continue to strengthen its human resources starting with various types of education, including soft skills, experience, independent projects and other programs. “Continue to prioritize technology to produce quality human resources throughout the country,” he concluded.
