Palembang, The Indonesia Post – The Governor of South Sumatra H. Herman Deru ensured that the availability of oxygen for the people of South Sumatra was in a safe condition. This is based on the results of observations at the Port of Boom Baru Palembang, Wednesday (28/7) night.
“For those who ask related to the availability of oxygen stock, then I say our stock is abundant. So don’t worry about lack of oxygen,” he said.
The availability, HD explained, is because PT Pusri, Sinarmas and Ligasin continue to produce oxygen supplies. In fact, he will establish a free oxygen filling post for South Sumatra residents whose location is planned to be centered at PT Pusri Palembang. Its function is to provide easy access to the general public who need oxygen supply as well as proof that South Sumatra’s oxygen stock is in a safe and controlled condition.
“Later on, please, residents who need oxygen, bring a tube to Pusri. Fill the tube according to their respective needs for free, without paying. We will create a post for the Health Service (Dinkes) in collaboration with PT Pusri,” he said.
In addition to West Java (Jabar), HD continued, East Java has also communicated asking for oxygen supplies from South Sumatra to meet the needs of handling Covid-19 in East Java.
“Tonight, we will send 12 tons to Lampung. Because Lampung needs it as soon as possible. We are grateful that we can help each other in handling Covid-19 in Indonesia. Previously West Java. East Java also needs oxygen supply from South Sumatra,” he explained.
Meanwhile, Director of PT Pusri, Tri Wahyudi Saleh, said that his party routinely provides oxygen supplies for a number of hospitals in South Sumatra. A number of these hospitals refill through the depot that has been provided at PT Pusri. (mhn/ril)
