The South Sumatra Provincial Government Maximizes Creative Financing, with the Regional Secretary Attending a Meeting to Extend Supporting Data

Palembang, The Indonesia Post – The Regional Secretary of South Sumatra Province, H. Edward Candra, attended a meeting regarding the extension of the deadline for submitting supporting data for creative financing assessments to regional governments, which was held online from the Command Center, Thursday (26/3/2026).

The meeting was chaired by Dr. Horas Maurits Panjaitan, M.Ec., Dev., Secretary of the Directorate General of Regional Financial Management at the Ministry of Home Affairs. He stated that the extension was intended to provide regional governments with the opportunity to complete and refine the supporting data required for the assessment process.

Following the meeting closely, the South Sumatra Regional Secretary emphasized the South Sumatra Provincial Government’s commitment to continuously supporting the optimization of regional financial management, including through an innovative and accountable creative financing approach.
He
believes this step presents an opportunity for the region to introduce breakthroughs in development financing without relying solely on conventional sources, thereby accelerating sustainable development.

“Through this extension, we will maximize data refinement to ensure compliance with regulations and provide the best possible picture of the efforts made by the region. We hope to have it collected before the deadline,” he said.

This meeting also serves as an important coordination space between the central and regional governments to ensure that each assessment process is transparent, measurable, and provides real benefits for regional development.

Also present were the Head of the South Sumatra Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda), H. Achmad Rizwan, and the Head of the South Sumatra PBJ Agency (PBJ), H. Muzakkir. (mhn/ril)
