The Trade Minister said prices of basic commodities were stable as of April 19

Jakarta, The Indonesia Post – The Minister of Trade Muhammad Lutfi said that as of April 19, 2022, the national average for all staple commodities was reported to be stable and their stocks safely available.

“On H-13 before Eid al-Fitr, the prices of basic commodities were still stable and their stocks were safely maintained,” said the Trade Minister virtually quoted in Jakarta, Wednesday.

The Trade Minister explained that the average price of medium rice on Wednesday (19/4) was stable at Rp. 10,400 per kilogram (kg). Meanwhile, premium rice is stable at a price of Rp. 12,400 per kg.

Then, the price of granulated sugar is also fairly stable at Rp. 14,700 per kg with the national stock still safe until the middle of the year.

The price of beef is Rp. 133,000 per kg, or Rp. 100 down from yesterday, but still 0.45 percent higher than last week. Meanwhile, the price of purebred chicken is at Ro37,000 per kg, a decrease of Rp.100 compared to yesterday. Meanwhile, the price of chicken eggs is stable at Rp. 26,100 per kg.

Then, the price of shallots increased by Rp. 400 compared to yesterday to Rp. 34,000 per kg, but still 1.16 percent lower compared to last week.

The price of garlic is in the range of IDR 31,000 per kg to IDR 32,900 per kg. Slightly down 0.3 percent from yesterday. The price of chili rose 0.4 percent compared to yesterday in the range of IDR 42,300 per kg – IDR 49,400 per kg depending on the type.

Furthermore, soybean prices were observed to be stable, at Rp. 13,900 per kg. Then wheat flour is also stable at a price of Rp. 11,300 per kg.

Then, premium packaged cooking oil rose slightly by Rp100 compared to yesterday to Rp26,400 per liter. An increase of Rp100 also occurred in simple packaged cooking oil to Rp23,800 per liter. For bulk cooking oil, today’s price is Rp. 17,900 or an increase of Rp. 200 compared to yesterday.

“We will monitor this price every day in 34 provinces to maintain the price of basic necessities, especially ahead of Eid al-Fitr,” said the Minister of Trade.
