“This year Indonesia will host the G20 Summit with the theme ‘Recover Togther, Recover Stronger’, of course China will actively provide support and assistance to Indonesia to promote world economic recovery by perfecting global governance so that developing countries play a more active role. ” said Wang Yi when answering ANTARA’s question on the sidelines of the Two-Session Parliamentary Session in Beijing, Monday.
China will also give full support to Indonesia in promoting the digital economy, green economy, global health and prosperity.
“As fellow developing countries, China and Indonesia have the same interest in strengthening each other’s markets in developing countries,” he said of the increasing trade relations between the two countries.
According to Wang, the relationship between the two heads of state is also very close so that cooperation between the two countries continues to develop towards a more strategic and comprehensive direction.
“The relationship between China and Indonesia is a model for mutually beneficial cooperation,” said the member of the Governing Council or coordinating ministerial level via video streaming from the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.
Even at the beginning of the pandemic, China was the first country to donate medical equipment assistance and mitigation supervision to Indonesia.
To date, he said, 290 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine made in China have been injected into the Indonesian people.
“The next step is that China will increase vaccine cooperation with and make Indonesia a center for vaccine development and production in Southeast Asia,” said Wang.
Cooperation with Indonesia, he continued, was also expanded in the fields of politics, economics, humanities, and maritime affairs, which later became known as “four wheel drive”.
Wang Yi also welcomed the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed rail network, which is planned to start operating at the end of this year.
