Palembang, The Indonesia Post – An extraordinary public welcome on Jalan May. Zen Lorong Badai RT 32 RW 07 Sei Lais Subdistrict, Kalidoni Subdistrict, Palembang when the Governor of South Sumatra Herman Deru was about to carry out a Friday safari at the Nurul Iman Mosque, Friday (28/8).
It can be seen that while walking along the hallway with a distance of approximately 300 meters to the mosque, the people constantly greeted the people and even that moment was used by residents to take pictures with the figure of the Governor of South Sumatra Herman Deru.
One of the residents there as a housewife (IRT) Rusdiana (56) said she was proud of the presence of Governor Herman Deru, who was willing to come all the way to perform Friday prayers as well as greet the community.
“We are proud of Governor Herman Deru to have come here. This is the first time the Governor has come to the hallway here. Thank you for this visit,” said Rusdiana.
Governor Herman Deru also felt proud when he got out of the car and walked to the mosque, the people around there did not stop greeting him.
“I am proud that the public’s welcome here is extraordinary. The people here are even more happy to honor the mosque, even though this mosque is small but very crowded. Hopefully this mosque will continue to be well maintained,” hoped HD.
Not only that, he also admitted that he was proud when he talked with the local people, it turned out that each citizen had different tribes.
“I’m proud again that the community started to enter the hallway, I asked, apparently, the people here are based on their ethnic groups. So that is very grateful to the figures who have kept the area here safe and conducive,” he concluded. (jekk/rel)
