Palembang, The Indonesia Post – Governor of South Sumatra H. Herman Deru said that someone will be valuable if seen from what he does and the form of his contribution as well as his concern as seen from a person’s Ethics and Morals. This was stated during the inauguration ceremony of the Abdul Rahman Islamic Foundation’s New Building.
“The building is only a means but the most important thing is the intention to know the science, especially about the moral knowledge that we find in the science of religion” said HD.
HD said that his arrival this time was in order to inaugurate the new building for the pesantren study room which had been laid 7 months ago.
“All of this is a fortune from God that must be grateful and instilled in us. Religious tolerance must be firm and maintained for religious harmony. As a leader, of course I will give my best for the advancement of education that is evenly distributed to all levels of society” added HD.
“I would like to express my gratitude to the Abdul Rahman Islamic Education Foundation, Karang Mulia Village, which has been and continues to produce future generations who are religious and superior for the advancement of the nation,” he concluded.
On the same occasion, Acting Regent of Muara Enim H. Nasrun Umar expressed his gratitude for Governor Herman Deru’s concern as a regional leader in the field of education and commitment to religious education.
“All the governor’s programs are in line with Muara Enim Regency, especially the one village one house Tahfiz program,” he concluded.
