Friday prayers, HD reminds people to keep obeying health protocols and implement vaccinations

Palembang, The Indonesia Post – The Governor of South Sumatra H. Herman Deru held a Friday Prayer at the Baiturrahman Mosque, the Friday Prayer he did was aimed at seeing the state of the community directly as well as staying in touch with religious leaders and the community around the Baitul Rahman Mosque.

After performing Friday prayers, the congregation of the Baiturrahman Mosque performed the Al-Fatiha Prayer to pray for the late. Hj. Percha Leanpuri.

Herman Deru thanked the people who had prayed for the deceased, “from the kindness and prayers from the community that have been carried out, it has become an additional spirit for me to move the wheels of the South Sumatra Provincial government,” he said.

At the same time, Herman Deru still reminded the public to continue to comply with the existing health protocols and asked the public to carry out vaccinations to protect themselves and the community.

“Therefore, I ask for help from the Central Government to increase the vaccination quota so that it can be added and accelerated, to fortify ourselves from the impact of this existing pandemic,” he said.

“I also thank the community for the enthusiasm that has been shown by the community to the Government’s program to revive the Tahfiz House Program and create Hafiz and Hafizoh in South Sumatra to be useful to help teach the knowledge they have learned to other communities around them,” he concluded.

On this occasion, the Head of the Baiturrahman Mosque Suhardi expressed his gratitude for the presence of the Governor of South Sumatra H. Herman Deru, he said that in the midst of this mourning situation, HD continued to carry out Friday Prayer Safari Activities and maintain the relationship between religious communities in the Baitul Rahman Mosque environment.

At the end of his speech, HD provided assistance of 50 million to develop religious symbols through the Tahfidz House at the Baiturrahman Mosque. (mhn/ril)
