HD Reviewing the Forest and Land Fire Task Force Command Post in Indralaya

Palembang, The Indonesia Post – Governor of South Sumatra (Sumsel) H. Herman Deru accompanied by Regent Ogan Ilir Panca Wijaya Akbar, SH, Regional Commander of the Military District (Dandim) 0402 OKI and Ogan Ilir, Lt. Col. Czi Zamroni and Deputy Chief of Police Ogan Ilir Kompol Presentman reviewing the bush fires (Karhutlah) task force post, in Indralaya Saturday (28/8) Afternoon.

The Governor of South Sumatra Province (Sumsel) H. Herman Deru said that the South Sumatra Provincial Government at the end of 2021 will immediately launch a regulation for punishment to the revocation of their rights, for owners of unused land who often cause forest and land fires during the dry season.

“Soon we will form a team to make rules regarding the management and ownership of unproductive land. Hopefully at the end of 2021 we can immediately launch a regulation on punishment even up to the revocation of his rights,” he said.

According to Herman Deru, the South Sumatra Provincial Government pays special attention to the regions in controlling forest and land fires, the provincial and district/city governments cooperate and strengthen synergies, in planning to prevent forest and land fires.

“This is really a quick action plan, we can prevent forest and land fires from happening. I remind the owners of idle land, both individuals and companies, Now this is the one that belongs to individuals, both plots and abandoned agricultural land which is very often the cause of forest and land fires. Because no one is guarding anything because of negligence or other things, this is the forerunner of karhutlah,” he said.

The provincial and district/city governments work together and strengthen synergies, both in planning to prevent forest and land fires, as well as moving quickly to the field when the fire is still small,” he added. (ojn/ril)
