HD: The Role of the Indonesian Ombudsman Affects the Level of Public Service

Palembang, The Indonesia Post – Governor of South Sumatra H. Herman Deru (HD) Received the Chairman of the Ombudsman of the Republic of Indonesia, Dr. Johanes Widijantoro, SH, MH in the context of gathering and supervising the assessment of compliance with public service standards within the South Sumatra Provincial Government.

HD welcomes the arrival of the Chief Ombudsman of the Republic of Indonesia, according to him the Ombudsman is very much needed by the Regional Government in building public services to be even better.

He also said that the process of digitizing public services must be applied gradually to the people of South Sumatra, considering that the transition period requires time for adjustment.

“We are in a (semi-digital) transition period which is not easy to do in the community. The digitalization transformation cannot be done all at once,” said HD.

Meanwhile, the Chief Ombudsman of the Republic of Indonesia, Dr. Johanes Widijantoro, SH, MH expressed his gratitude for the welcome and for helping and responding well to the Ombudsman Representative of South Sumatra.

He also explained that the Ombudsman was formed with the aim of improving the quality of public services in Indonesia, especially South Sumatra. In this regard, he hopes that the Governor of South Sumatra H. Herman Deru can continue to provide support to the Ombudsman. (rmt/ril)
