Pekanbaru, The Indonesia Post – The Riau Regional Police (Polda) destroyed 86 kg of methamphetamine in the rear parking lot of the Riau Police Headquarters, Jalan Pattimura, by immersing them in a bucket and mixing with liquid detergent to clean the floor.
“Dozens of kilograms of crystal methamphetamine were destroyed after being secured from six suspects,” Riau Police Head of Public Relations Kombes Sunarto told reporters in Pekanbaru, Thursday.
The six perpetrators who were arrested were all acting as international network couriers and drug dealers. He explained that tens of kg of methamphetamine had previously been tested for authenticity by the Riau Police Labfor officers with drug test kits.
He detailed that 81 kg of methamphetamine that was destroyed was secured by Sub-Directorate I of the Narcotics Directorate in two different locations in Pekanbaru City, and the two suspects were not a married couple (couple), but when renting a house in the two locations the homeowner admitted to being a couple.
“The suspects, the male initials Asm (52) and the female initials HAS (47). Both were secured starting from information obtained by the Aceh-Riau international narcotics network which was in the Pekanbaru City area, on Friday (1/10),” he said.

“From the development team, they managed to confiscate 49 kg of crystal methamphetamine packaged in Chinese tea packaging from Malaysia at Perum Griya Pasir Mas, Jalan Pasir Mas 1 Blok A2 No. 15, Tobek Godang Village, Bina Widya District, Pekanbaru City,” said Naruto.
Based on the results of the interrogation, it is known that both of them are international networks that import goods from Malaysia controlled by Agam, an Acehnese citizen, who is in Malaysia. Then, in Indonesia, both were controlled by an inmate at Tangkerang Prison, named ABU.
Meanwhile, other 4 kg of methamphetamine was revealed by the Pekanbaru Police Satnarkoba, on Thursday (21/10) in three different locations with four suspects, namely Kim alias ACN Puntong (42), As alias AD (24), HE alias SU, and AZ. aka RN (20). All four are residents of Pekanbaru City.
He explained that the four suspects had different roles in circulating methamphetamine in Riau. Some are controllers and couriers.
The perpetrators were charged with Article 112 paragraph 2 and 114 paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code concerning the Abuse and Circulation of Narcotic Substances with a penalty of 20 years in prison. (jek/bbs)
