Palembang, The Indonesia Post – The Governor of South Sumatra H. Herman Deru reminded all of us regarding the Family Welfare Movement (PKK) to always be placed at the forefront and whatever the program is as the spearhead, real action is needed for the community.
This was stated by HD when attending and officially opening the Coordination Meeting of the Family Welfare Movement (PKK) Mobilizing Team Program with the PKK Trustees of South Sumatra Province in 2022.
“I remind the OPD to have a formula that will be carried out in cooperation and coordination with the PKK, all partners for the formulation and action,” said HD.
HD asked for more practical work with digital, such as with the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) regarding drug prevention and the BKKBN for early stunting. The program must be updated, according to the times,” said HD.
HD added, the Sumsel Mandiri Food Program, where women are directly involved as actors in purchasing, must change their mindset, meaning shifting the mindset from consumptive to productive, just like the chili planting program that affects inflation.
“We need literacy because we are already talking about the era of competition. Why are we talking about healthy living, why not take preventive action. I ask women’s organizations to be involved so that collaboration can produce results,” he concluded.
South Sumatra PKK chairman Hj Febrita Lustia Herman Deru said the PKK work program must always be in line with the government’s work program. Development policy, namely increasing quality of service, one of which is health and use of technology. For the effective implementation of PKK activities, collaboration with regional apparatus organizations is needed.
