Indonesian Ambassador to Switzerland: The search continues until Eril is found

Jakarta, The Indonesia Post – The Indonesian Ambassador to Switzerland and Liechtenstein Muliaman Dharmansyah Hadad said the Swiss police would continue to search for Emmeril Kahn Mumtadz until the son of the Governor of West Java, who was missing in the Aare River, Bern, was found.

“The search process will continue indefinitely. This means that the search mission will continue until Eril is found,” said Muliaman, referring to Ridwan Kamil’s eldest son’s nickname at an online conference monitored from Jakarta, Monday.

Entering the summer in Switzerland, Muliaman said, the local police believe that rising temperatures which can increase the water flow of the Aare River will facilitate the search mission.

“Summer also means the intensity and activity of visitors along the Aare River will also increase. The increase in water and human dynamics in the Aare River is expected to contribute to the search process,” he said.

According to Muliaman, the Swiss police said they would continue the search for Eril by making optimal efforts by deploying special officers who have expertise and use various search methods.

Bern City Government, he said, also paid special attention to the search mission and ensured that search efforts would continue.

Meanwhile, Ridwan Kamil is reported to have returned to carrying out his activities as governor while continuing to follow the development of his son’s search mission.

“Hopefully his sincerity and strength have become a prime example for us, his family and relatives and the whole community who cares for Ananda Eril,” said Muliaman.

Eril was declared missing while swimming in the Aare River, Bern, Switzerland, on Thursday, May 26, 2022. According to a local police statement, Eril experienced an emergency situation while swimming in the river. (mhn/bbs)
