Jakarta, The Indonesia Post – The Indonesian National Army (TNI) Commander, General TNI Andika Perkasa, reminded all his staff to be proactive in overseeing the legal process involving the TNI.
“There is no longer any reason to continue to delay all processes related to legal procedures, all must be proactive in guarding the entire legal process,” he said, on his official YouTube channel monitored in Jakarta, Sunday.
He again held an internal meeting with the legal team within the TNI to discuss various legal cases involving the TNI. He also received reports on several legal cases submitted by the Oditur General of the TNI. The prosecutor general of the TNI reported that these cases had proceeded according to procedure, but there were some delays.
Following up on this, he ordered the head of the TNI Legal Development Agency to record all ongoing legal cases in detail.
According to him, this was done to continue to oversee the entire legal process. He hopes that all ranks of the legal team can be pro-active so that no legal cases are hampered. Regarding the various legal processes that are running within the TNI, the TNI Commander also requested that consistent coordination be carried out with related parties in overseeing the legal process.
He also continued to emphasize that the entire legal team within the TNI should continue to be pro-active in supervising all ongoing legal processes while still complying with applicable legal rules. (mhn/bbs)
