Palembang, The Indonesia Post – Chairman of the Legislative Council (DPRD) of South Sumatra Province, R.A. Anita Noeringhati, officially opened the Synod III of the Archdiocese of Palembang at the Xaverius Centrum Studiorum Building, Palembang. Tuesday, 27/9/22.
The synod was attended by more than 300 people, consisting of priests, nuns and representatives of the faithful from all areas of the Archdiocese of Palembang, including South Sumatra, Jambi and Bengkulu.
In particular, the Bishop Emeritus of the Archdiocese of Palembang, Mgr. Aoysius Sudarso, SCJ and Mgr. Adrianus Sunarko, OFM (Bishop of Pangkalpinang) and Father Stephanus Gitowiratmo (Director of Sanjaya Muntilan Pastoral Center-Semarang Archdiocese) as expert observers who will provide input from theological and pastoral perspectives.
