Badung, The Indonesia Post – The Chief of the Indonesian National Police, Police General Listyo S Prabowo, reviewed the readiness of a number of main locations for the G20 Summit, including the Apurva Kempinski Hotel, Badung, Bali, Sunday.
He stated that the preparation of the main locations ahead of the peak of the G20 Summit and the arrival of the delegates before the summit event on November 15-16 have entered the final stages.
“This morning we went to Renon to carry out rehearsals to prepare for the security rally. Then after that, we reviewed the locations that would indeed be part of a series of visits. We also looked at the readiness of the existing locations themselves. Maybe in how many days it will be finished, ” he said.
He, together with high-ranking police officers and the Bali Regional Police, directly observed the progress of the readiness of the Apurva Kempinski Hotel in Badung Regency and also the preparation of the TNI Presidential Security Forces who will later serve in that place.
It is the Presidential Security Forces of the TNI that are the main cornerstone of the inherent security of the heads of state or heads of government of G20 member countries or the equivalent who were present at the G20 Summit, as well as their official partners.
“We coordinated with friends from Paspampres who also made sure regarding security points because these are indeed divided into ring 1, ring 2 and ring 3,” he said.
He hopes that, through various training and coordination activities built across sectors, all planned security schemes can run optimally.
He made sure all the police on duty understood their respective duties and responsibilities in the security perimeter that had been arranged. However, he said, coordination is needed at special times so that things don’t happen that are not desirable.
“Hopefully and of course later we will continue with the series of security rehearsals that we include,” he said.
He was accompanied by the Commander of the Brimob Police Corps, Commissioner General of Police Anang Revandoko, Head of the Public Relations Division of the Indonesian Police, Inspector General of Police Deddy Prasetyo, Logistics Assistant to the Indonesian Police Chief, Inspector General of Police Prabowo A Yuwono, Head of Bali Police, Inspector General of Police Putu Jayaan Danu Putra, and others.
Prabowo is sure that the entire series of security and coordination, especially those carried out by the Police and the TNI are going well, so that the series of activities of the G20 Summit will be successful.
Before reviewing the readiness of the Apurva Kempinski Hotel, he first carried out a review of the rehearsal for the 2022 Puri Agung Ops troop title at Niti Mandala Renon Square, Denpasar, Bali, to ensure police readiness to support the security of the G20 Summit which will be held on 15-16 November 2022.
After carrying out the rehearsal check, he and the main officers of the Indonesian Police sat together in the field with all members to have lunch together as well as meet face-to-face with members who secured the G20 Summit at Niti Mandala Renon Square.
After that, he reviewed the readiness of the Ngurah Rai Mangrove Forest Park, which was also the location of activities for state leaders and delegates present.
Finally, he and his entourage moved to Garuda Wisnu Kencana as a place to have a dinner of honor for the heads of state and delegates who attended the summit of the G20 Summit. (mhn/bbs)
