HD Encourages the South Sumatran Contingent to Achieve at the 2022 National Journalists Sports Week

Palembang, The Indonesia Post – The Governor of South Sumatra H. Herman Deru released the South Sumatra contingent to participate in the National Journalists/Reporters Sports Week (Porwanas) to Surabaya, Greater Malang, East Java.

“I’m sure, before departure the contingents that are included will have been well selected. I’m sure our departure will not only complete the organization’s orders but really because we want to be an inspiration to all fellow journalists and the public that sport is important,” he said.

HD encourages the contingents to give their best. He believes that the 10 sports that are followed must have superiors who will be targeted for gold, silver or bronze. Because we are determined to carve out achievements.

“Fight with passion and be realistic. Of course I will prepare special prizes for the winners,” he said.

The Chairperson of the South Sumatran Journalist Association (PWI), Firdaus Komar, S.pd., M.Sc., revealed that Porwanas would be held on 21-27 November 2022. In this activity the South Sumatran contingent has the third largest number in Indonesia. This is thanks to the support of the Governor of South Sumatra H Herman Deru. It is hoped that the contingents will carve achievements.

This activity will be attended by 100 participants from South Sumatra consisting of athletes, officials, and PWI administrators. The team plans to depart on Saturday morning, 19 November 2022 by bus.

In the event, the South Sumatra contingent will participate in 10 sports that will be contested, namely athletics, badminton, tennis, table tennis, chess, e-sport, football, futsal, bridge and billiards. In addition, there are also writing and photo competitions. (mhn/ril)
