Palembang, The Indonesia Post – The Chairperson of the South Sumatra Legislative Council (DPRD), Hj RA Anita Noeringhati SH MH officially released the South Sumatran PWNU contingent who will compete at the Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) Sports and Art Events (Porseni) in Solo.
The release was marked by raising the flag and starting departure from the official residence of the chairman of the DPRD of South Sumatra, Jl Demang Lebar Daun, Palembang, Friday (13/1).
Prior to the release of the contingent consisting of 113 athletes and officials, they received direction and motivation from the woman who served as chairman of the South Sumatra Parliament.
“Congratulations on being chosen to represent the South Sumatra PWNU, entrust the good name of the region,” said RA Anita.
The Golkar party politician reminded athletes to maintain health and be disciplined during the competition.
“Dedicate your best performance to achieve achievements, instill in your hearts that going solo in participating in the NU Porseni brings the big name of PWNU South Sumatra,” she ordered.
It is known, the 2023 NU Porseni is a series of nine top agendas for the 1st century anniversary of NU. This championship and competition will be held on January 14-21.
In Porseni, there will be several sports that will be contested. Starting from soccer, volleyball, martial arts, badminton, and others. As for the art class that is being contested is qiroatul the yellow book, alfiyah memorization, to the Koran reading competition.
“South Sumatra takes part in all branches in the competition, we are confident that we can compete with representatives from other regions and present the best performance,” said Dr. Izza Zen Syukri, chief executive of the South Sumatra PWNU Porseni.
While the chairman of the South Sumatran PWNU, KH Amiruddin Nahrawi, thanked all parties who had helped the South Sumatra contingent in participating in the South Sumatra Porseni.
