Palembang, The Indonesia Post – Shortly after carrying out the Friday Prayers, the Governor of South Sumatra H Herman Deru (HD) said, his goal of conducting Friday Prayer Safaris at mosques in the South Sumatra region was to worship while at the same time wanting to stay in touch with the community directly.
“The mosque is supposed to be like this.
Active and utilized for religious activities. Because that’s how we prosper the mosque, don’t let the mosque stand majestically instead of being quiet with religious activities,” said HD.
Regarding the tahfidz house, the point is the activity is not the building, we will hold the activity first and then we will build the place slowly. This tahfidz house is to balance knowledge with religious knowledge so that future generations are not only intelligent but also have good morals.
On that occasion, HD provided assistance for the construction and development of mosques. (mhn/ril)
