Chairperson of the South Sumatra Legislative Council Becomes Speaker at Workshop on Evaluation of Financial Management and Village Development in 2023

Palembang, The Indonesia Post – Chairperson of the Legislative Council (DPRD) of South Sumatra  (Sumsel) Province, Mrs. Hj. R.A. Anita Noeringhati, SH., MH., was a guest speaker at the Workshop on Evaluation of Financial Management and Village Development in 2023, which carried the theme “Increasing Productivity for Sustainable Village Economic Transformation,” taking place at Graha Sedulang Setudung, Banyuasin Regency. Monday (06/03/2023).

The Regent of Banyuasin, H. Askolani, SH., MH officially opened the 2023 Village Development and Financial Management Evaluation Workshop in Banyuasin Regency.

In his remarks, Banyuasin Regent H. Askolani said today’s workshop activities were very important for all of us to communicate with each other. Regarding how to realize the implementation of Village Government administration and village development according to the mandate of Law Number 6 of 2014 concerning villages and implementing regulations so that in the future 288 villages in Banyuasin Regency will become superior, advanced, independent and prosperous villages in all fields based on village community empowerment as development subject.

Through this activity, the Banyuasin Regency Government reminded the village government to be able to understand the entire series of village financial management activities starting from the planning, implementation, administration, reporting to accountability stages with the aim of accelerating village growth and development and improving the welfare and quality of life of village communities,” he said.

Furthermore, as of September 1 2022 the Banyuasin Regency Government has implemented the Siskeudes Online application in 288 villages within the Banyuasin Regency area. Banyuasin Regency Government is the third district in South Sumatra Province that has implemented the Siskeudes Online application. This step is a breakthrough and an effort to accelerate the oversight of village financial management, in addition to implementing the SIDA application (Dashboard Information System) which is connected to the Siskeudes Online application which can monitor the absorption of village APB spending in real time.

“In the framework of managing village finances, use the budget by planning, implementing and reporting as well as possible.

The village government is obliged to inform the village APB and the accountability report on the implementation of the village APB to all village communities through public information facilities in the village such as information boards at the village office and village hall. All village heads are asked to immediately draw up a village government work plan and village budget for 2023,” he said.

On the same occasion, Chairman of Commission Xl House of Representatives (DPR RI) Drs. H. Kahar Muzakir explained that this workshop was an important and strategic basis for village heads to improve their knowledge and abilities in financial management and village development for the better.

“In the future we will accommodate the village head’s desire to build roads and other infrastructure to the fullest, therefore prioritizing the use of village funds to finance development and community empowerment aimed at improving the welfare of rural communities as well as improving the quality of human life and alleviating poverty,” he said.

Meanwhile, Member of Regional Representative Council of Indonesia (DPD RI) Commission IV, Hj. Eva Susanti, SE, in her remarks said that this activity was certainly in accordance with the duties and authorities as well as the law in the financial management of village funds in Banyuasin Regency. It is hoped that this activity can continue and produce recommendations in the management of village funds that are managed in a transparent, accountable manner and in accordance with village development utilization planning.
