HD: Moment of The Elimination of Motor Vehicle Tax Fines Means That The Compliance of The Citizens of South Sumatra is Improving

Palembang, The Indonesia Post – Governor of South Sumatra H. Herman Deru directly reviewed the activities at the Palembang I Samsat Office related to the Extension of the Policy on the elimination of motor vehicle tax fines and the exemption of BBNKB in South Sumatra, Thursday (3/9).

On this occasion, HD reviewed the services of Samsat related to the services of the Samsat office considering that there was an extension of the policy of bleaching or eliminating fines for motor vehicle taxpayers who were in arrears. Even this policy received a positive response from taxpayers as evidenced by the increasing number of applicants who came to the Samsat office in South Sumatra. When discussed on the sidelines of his review at Samsat Palembang 1, Governor Herman Deru acknowledged that there was a welcome from taxpayers as evidenced by the increase in the percentage of the number of Ranmor taxpayers who wanted to extend their vehicle tax.

“Today I see whether the service here is running optimally or not, because there is a policy of eliminating fines, it turns out that the service is still good even though there is a surge in Palembang by 300-400 percent of taxpayers’ arrival to pay taxes,” said HD.

Herman Deru said that as long as the taxpayer is domiciled in South Sumatra and the license plate BG can be served maximally at the nearest Samsat office.

The governor reminded vehicle owners that the South Sumatra Provincial Government not only exempted BBNKB but also the tax base of more than one year could also be abolished.

“Bleaching is not only interest and fines, in essence I also instructed it to be deducted for more than one year, for example, the tax has been dead for more than one year, so you can pay one year as long as you have clear reasons,” he explained.

Herman Deru appealed to taxpayers who have a vehicle tax that has been unpaid for more than one year to immediately pay one year for clear reasons.
