Jakarta, The Indonesia Post – Member of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Alex Noerdin, provided groceries assistance to his constituents in the Electoral District (Dapil) of South Sumatra II. The provision of basic food is to help ease the burden on residents who are being hit by the Coronavirus COVID-19 epidemic.
The basic food aid provided by members of the Golkar faction of the Indonesian House of Representatives took the form of a package of rice and cooking oil to thousands of people in South Sumatra, especially in the South Sumatra II electoral district. This assistance is a form of the concern of Deputy Chairperson of the House of Representatives Commission VII to the people affected by the COVID-19 outbreak.
“In this first phase, we provide assistance in the form of 10 tons of rice. This rice is a basic need of the community, “said Alex Noerdin, the former Governor of South Sumatra for two periods, 2008-2018.
Apart from rice, there was also assistance from Alex Noerdin, which consisted of cooking oil and masks. “This assistance is to help ease the burden on our society which is being hit by the COVID-19 epidemic,” said the father of the Muba Regent, Dodi Reza Alex.
Regarding the close of the holy month of Ramadhan 1441 Hijriyah and Idulfitri, Alex requested the Central Government’s firmness to ban homecoming. “To break the COVID chain, the Central Government must strictly prohibit going home.
