Palembang, The Indonesia Post – The invitation of the Governor of South Sumatra H Herman Deru to the Head of the South Sumatra High Prosecutor’s Office (Kajati) which is currently held by Sarjono Turin was conveyed during a gathering and hospitality between the Governor of South Sumatra, Forkopimda and the Regents and Mayors with the South Sumatran Kajati.
According to Herman Deru, currently there are still many people who do not understand and are aware of the law. For this reason, massive education must be carried out by institutions such as the Attorney General’s Office and other related institutions.
“South Sumatra has the potential to become a center for law enforcement and good legal education. Legal education is a must, including in regencies and cities in South Sumatra. Not only criminal law, literacy on civil law can also be done,” said HD.
On the other hand, Governor Herman Deru also requested that the new Kajati immediately appoint the head of the District Attorney’s Office (Kejari) who had a vacancy.
It is known that Sarjono Turin has only served as Head of the South Sumatra Attorney General’s Office for the past two weeks. Previously, Sarjono Turin served as Director of Extraordinary Legal Efforts, Execution and Examination of Special Crimes at the Attorney General’s Office.
For this reason, he emphasized that he would do his best to assist in law enforcement efforts.
