The Indonesia Post – President Joko Widodo conveyed the latest data related to the handling of the Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia in a limited meeting held at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, (26/10).
In a limited meeting regarding the plan to procure and implement vaccinations, the President said that as of October 25, 2020, the average active cases in Indonesia stood at 16.08 percent.
“This is lower than the world average of active cases which reached 23.73 percent,” said the President.
Meanwhile, compared to the previous month, the average mortality rate in Indonesia also decreased from 3.83 percent to 3.41 percent. Even so, this figure is still higher than the world death rate.
“This is still slightly higher than the world mortality rate of 2.68 percent,” he added.
The recovery rate in Indonesia has also increased, reaching 80.51 percent. This figure is higher than the world recovery rate of 73.60 percent.
“I think these three things need to be known by all of us so that the hard work we do actually results in the figures that I conveyed earlier,” he said. (mhn / bbs)
