“There is Mas Nadiem, we are very lucky, I always ask questions that are answered very quickly, ‘How is this? I don’t want only 1-2, 1,000 – 2,000, I want millions. Merdeka Campus is the answer, how? That’s what the Minister said earlier,” said President Jokowi.

Especially at this time, according to the President, the world’s big companies are competing to build Metapherse.

“Facebook that turned into Meta, Epic Games, Roblox, Microsoft, all of them entered there, so we need to prepare a strategy for our country. Our country needs to prepare a strategy so that we are not far behind by other countries,” said President Jokowi.

“I convey to the Minister of SOEs and others as well, we don’t have much time to pursue it. The time is only 2 years, the most difficult thing is preparing digital talent in large numbers, bringing in mentors who have good qualifications,” added President Jokowi.

In addition to strengthening digital talent, President Jokowi also mentioned the need to provide strong funding.

“In the waiting room, I said this cannot be BUMN alone, the private sector must also join this Red and White (Fund). Then INA, the Indonesia Investment Authority also came here so that we would be more prepared to use large funds to accelerate the processes that I mentioned earlier,” said the President. (rma/bbs)
