Vice President Ma’ruf Amin instructed the voices of children to be heard and implemented

Semarang, The Indonesia Post – Vice President (Wapres) Ma’ruf Amin instructed the ranks of the central and regional government to listen to and carry out the voices of children conveyed at the 2023 National Children’s Day Commemoration Peak.

“I have heard your voices earlier. Therefore, I will instruct all levels of government at the central and regional levels to listen and implement your voices, which you conveyed earlier,” Vice President Ma’ruf Amin said in Semarang, Central Java, Sunday.

The commemoration of National Children’s Day (HAN) 2023 in Semarang carries the theme “Protected Children, Advanced Indonesia” with the hashtag #BeraniBecausePeduli.

Suara Anak Indonesia (SAI) in 2023 was also called for by the National Children’s Forum as a form of realizing the right to participate. The 2023 SAI contains ten aspiration points regarding fulfilling children’s civil rights, optimizing children’s participation in decision making, as well as education for children and parents regarding democratic parenting in the family, as well as other aspirations.

“National Children’s Day carries an important meaning, because it is a form of respect, protection and fulfillment of children’s rights, as our next generation,” said the Vice President.

This mandate is the responsibility of all elements of the nation so that the Vice President requested that each party, according to their respective roles and capacities, prioritize and optimize the implementation of child protection.

“Develop creative and innovative policies and programs, guarantee the fulfillment of children’s rights to live, grow, develop and participate in accordance with human dignity and dignity,” said Vice President Ma’ruf Amin.

The Vice President Ma’ruf did not miss asking that children receive protection from all forms of violence and discrimination.

“Agreed? Indonesian Children’s Voices are a manifestation of children’s rights to be heard, their aspirations paid attention to, and given the opportunity to participate in development. Once again to all levels of the central and regional governments and related institutions, I instruct them to immediately carry out the voices that were conveyed by Indonesian children earlier,” said the Vice President.

As a candidate for the nation’s leader, Vice President Ma’ruf also asked that children remain healthy, smart and great.

“Ready? When the time comes, you will continue the baton for the leadership of this nation. Are you ready? Prepare yourselves,” said Vice President Ma’ruf Amin.

Moreover, according to him, a leader is not only measured by academic intelligence but also emotional and spiritual intelligence.

“For this reason, master science and technology as best you can, be superior in character and noble character, and optimize your talents and hone all your potentials. Use your time well and do positive things,” said the Vice President.

Finally, the Vice President advised that in this digital era children must understand the advantages and disadvantages of digital technology.

“Likewise with social media, and the wider dissemination of information. Indonesian children must be wise and smart in using social media, also be careful with hoaxes. Sort, choose, and share good and correct information,” said Vice President Ma’ruf Amin.

This commemoration was attended by around 2,000 offline participants from the National Children’s Forum and Regional Children’s Forums from all over Indonesia, students from the city of Semarang, representatives from the children’s community, as well as children with disabilities and around 10,000 participants also took part online.
