West Java Target Bansos Distribution Completed Before Eid

Jakarta, TheIndonesiaPost – The first phase of social assistance (Bansos) distribution in West Java is targeted to be completed before Idul Fitri 1441 Hijrah.

Head of the West Java Provincial Industry and Industry Agency (Disindag) Mohammad Arifin Soedjayana said, the distribution of provincial social assistance is currently carried out to all regions in West Java. The Social Aid is intended for the Integrated Household Welfare Data (KRTS) Family Social Welfare (DTKS) and non-DTKS KRTS recipient of social assistance.

“The first phase (target) will be completed on May 23, 2020 before Idul Fitri,” Arifin said as a direction from West Java Governor, quoted by Cable News Network Indonesia.

According to Arifin, there were a number of obstacles during the distribution process. In addition to the verification and validation process of social assistance recipient data that requires time, the location of social assistance recipients, and rejection from the community and officials is one of the obstacles that must be overcome.

“For urban areas, the distribution can be completed faster, whereas for remote areas it requires extra time and energy,” he said.

“Another obstacle is that if there is a rejection of distribution from both the community and officials, this makes the distribution target become backward and cannot be completed in accordance with the agreed time,” he said.

To resolve the obstacle, said Arifin, his party was intensely coordinating with the district/city government and the military and police. The goal is that distribution is optimal.

“Monitoring and evaluation on a regular basis continue to be done so that any problems that arise can be immediately found a solution and resolved,” he said.

In West Java, Sumedang Regency is one of the distribution areas with a high level of data accuracy, which is 92.81 percent. The high accuracy of the data proposed by Sumedang Regency makes the process of distribution of provincial and other social assistance organizations run optimally, and there is no polemic in the community.

Sumedang District Secretary (Sekda) Herman Suryatman stated, the distribution of social assistance, both from the district and province, went smoothly and there was no polemic or dynamics in the community.

“We map it from the beginning so that we can explain to the community, the people who are entitled and meet the criteria will get help. The assistance obtained by each family is different, there is from the central, district, province. We are keen to explain this,” he said. (ras/bbs)
