The Plenary Meeting of the 21st Lubuklinggau City Anniversary was chaired by the Chairman of the Lubuk Linggau DPRD H. Rodi Wijaya, with the theme, “With the spirit of the 21st Anniversary of Lubuk Linggau City, together we unite the determination to recover faster and rise stronger towards Lubuk Linggau Civil City Metropolis”.
On that occasion, the Mayor of Lubuklinggau conveyed that the Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Lubuklinggau, H SN Prana Putra Sohe – H Sulaiman Kohar had achieved during their time leading the city of Lubuklinggau.
The Lubuklinggau City Government continues to strive to give as much attention as possible to revive the spirit of community elements. The functions of community organizations, youth organizations and even journalists are being strengthened in order to make a better contribution.
Moral development and efforts to prosper the community are also carried out through the Prosperous People’s Mosque program (MARASE), in collaboration with Bank Sumsel Babel. Currently, out of 228 mosques in Lubuklinggau City, 80 mosques have been distributed aid and continues to grow.
“On behalf of the City Government and the people of Lubuklinggau City, I thank the Governor of South Sumatra for all the attention, support and assistance that has been given by the South Sumatra Provincial Government in development efforts in Lubuklinggau City,” he added.
Meanwhile, the Governor of South Sumatra, H Herman Deru in his speech stated, Lubuklinggau City is a new autonomous region (DOB) along with a number of other regions.
“With all its advantages, Lubuklinggau was born as a new autonomous region, but not all of them are progressing rapidly like Lubuklinggau City,” he said.
The governor assessed that the Mayor of Lubuklinggau was very good at controlling Lubuklinggau City to become an area with rapid progress. “Moreover, any form of management from the legacy of the previous leader is the highest appreciation for the next leader,” said Herman Deru.
