Palembang, The Indonesia Post – The Governor of South Sumatra H Herman Deru attended the commemoration of the 41st World Food Day in 2021 with the Indonesian Minister of Agriculture, Dr. H. Syahrul Yasin Limpo, S.H., M.Sc., M.H, virtually.
Commemorating world food day, the Minister of Agriculture appreciates and is grateful for the role of farmers in managing agriculture and in their every effort to prepare food for all Indonesian people. He also thanked the regional heads for the support.
According to him, Indonesian Agriculture will not produce if all do not cooperate to utilize the existing natural resources properly.
“With the existing capabilities, especially helping the farmers in encouraging agricultural growth. It is necessary to anticipate global warming and future crises because agriculture builds a lot of jobs,” he said.
This event was held directly in Jagapura Village, Gegesik District, Cirebon Regency, West Java Province. And followed by harvesting together from various regions throughout Indonesia virtually. (ojn/ril)
