Palembang, The Indonesia Post – General Meeting of Shareholders (GMS) of PT. Bukit Asam Tbk financial year 2022 is an important event on the coal mining company’s agenda, where stakeholders gather to discuss achievements and plans for the future.
Chairperson of the Legislative Council (DPRD) of South Sumatra Province, Hj. R.A. Anita Noeringhati, SH., MH, also attended the event which was held at the Sumba Room Lt. 3 Hotel Borobudur, Jakarta, Thursday (15/6/2023).
Annual GMS of PT. Bukit Asam Tbk was also attended by various important figures, including Deputy Governor of South Sumatra H. Mawardi Yahya, Mayor of Palembang H. Harnojoyo, Acting Regent of Muara Enim Ahmad Usmarwi Kaffah, President Director of PT Bukit Asam Tbk Arsal Ismail, and Main Commissioner of PT Bukit Asam Tbk Irwandy Arif Commissioner.
In her statement, Anita revealed the importance of synergy between local governments and companies in driving economic growth and development in South Sumatra. He expressed his appreciation for the contribution of PT. Bukit Asam Tbk in the coal mining sector, which has had a positive impact on society and the regional economy.
“The presence of PT. Bukit Asam Tbk in South Sumatra has made a significant contribution to regional development. This company has created jobs, increased people’s income, and supported infrastructure and social programs around its operational areas,” said Anita.
In his presentation the Main Director, Arsal Ismail, explained the company’s achievements in the 2022 financial year and gave an overview of the steps to be taken going forward.
“We feel proud of the achievements of PT. Bukit Asam Tbk this year. Despite facing global challenges, we managed to record significant growth and generate satisfactory profits. We will continue to improve operational efficiency, innovate, and make a positive contribution to sustainable development,” said Arsal Ismail.
In addition, the GMS also conducted the selection and appointment of new members of the board of commissioners. Irwandy Arif Commissioner was elected as President Commissioner of PT Bukit Asam Tbk, with the hope that it will lead the company to a better direction in the future.
The meeting took place in a constructive atmosphere, where all stakeholders could convey their views to improve the performance of PT. Bukit Asam Tbk and encourage regional economic growth. This event also provides an opportunity for the company to establish better communication with related parties.
With the presence of the Chairperson of the DPRD of South Sumatra Province, at the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders of PT. Bukit Asam Tbk further emphasizes the local government’s commitment to supporting the coal mining sector and establishing close cooperation with companies to achieve sustainable development in South Sumatra.
