Palembang, The Indonesia Post – Chairman of the South Sumatra Provincial Legislative Council (DPRD) Andie Dinialdie, SE attended the Night of Respect for the Service of the Acting Governor of South Sumatra and the farewell and welcoming of the Commander of the II Sriwijaya Military Command at Griya Agung Palembang, 2/18/2025.
The Governor as the Representative of the Central Government since June 24, 2024 until tonight (2/18) for approximately 8 months or 240 days, South Sumatra has been led by Elen Setiadi as the Acting (Pj.) Governor of South Sumatra.

With the election of the elected Governor for the 2025-2030 Period, Herman Deru and Cik Ujang, Elen Setiadi’s term of office automatically ended. As a form of respect for Elen Setiadi’s dedication as Acting Governor of South Sumatra, a Night of Respect for the Dedication of Acting Governor of South Sumatra Elen Setiadi was held as well as a Farewell and Welcome for the Commander of the II Sriwijaya Military Command, taking place at Griya Agung Palembang.
In his remarks, Elen expressed his gratitude to all heads of OPDs within the South Sumatra Provincial Government and staff, to the Commander of the II Sriwijaya Military Command Major General TNI Ujang Darwis and staff, Forkompimda, OJK, BPS, BPKP, BUMD, BUMN, and all parties who have worked together and supported the implementation of government activities.
“I also express my gratitude to the II Sriwijaya Military Command which has so far helped the regional governments, both provincial and district/city in the South Sumatra Province in carrying out activities according to their respective main duties and functions,” said Elen.
During the administration of South Sumatra, there are several priorities that have been jointly pursued, including Accelerating the Completion of National Strategic Projects, Stabilizing Food Supply and Prices, Increasing Plantation Crops, Accelerating Transportation and Regional Development, Improving Governance and Strengthening Legislation, and Improving the Management of Social and Community Issues.
“This success is the result of the hard work of all parties in South Sumatra. On this occasion, I would like to once again express my gratitude to all parties who have contributed suggestions, thoughts, and energy, so that they can become policies for the development of South Sumatra,” explained Elen.
On this occasion, a farewell and welcoming ceremony was also held for the Commander of the II Sriwijaya Military Command, Major General TNI M. Naudi Murdika, who was replaced by Major General TNI Ujang Darwis.
Also present were the Regents/Mayors throughout South Sumatra, Forkopimda, Heads of OPDs within the South Sumatra Provincial Government, and community leaders. (ojn/bbs)
