Palembang, The Indonesia Post – Dr.Hj.RA Anita Noeringhati SH MH, Chair of the South Sumatra Province Legislative Council (DPRD) was present at the disaster management meeting which was also attended by the Acting Governor of South Sumatra Agus Fatoni, Acting Mayor of Palembang Drs Ratu Dewa M.Si and representatives of the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) who took place in the VIP room at Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II airport, Tuesday (9/01/2024).
Dr Hj.RA Anita Noeringhati in this meeting highlighted disaster management efforts that need to be strengthened together to maintain community safety. She also expressed her views regarding the role of the DPRD in supporting disaster management policies in South Sumatra Province.
“We need strong synergy between the Government, DPRD and the community to increase awareness and capacity in dealing with potential disasters in South Sumatra,” said the Chair of the South Sumatra Provincial DPRD. (ojn/ril)
