Palembang, The Indonesia Post – Chairperson of the South Sumatra Provincial Legislative Council (DPRD), Dr Hj. RA Anita Noeringhati, SH., MH attended the preparatory meeting ahead of the 2024 election in the Governor’s meeting room.
Acting (Pj) Governor of South Sumatra (Sumsel) Agus Fatoni asked the public to maintain the conducive climate that exists in South Sumatra. This is because South Sumatra Province has received the title of zero conflict and a tolerant region.

“So this is our joint task, this election is not just the KPU and Bawasalu but we all participate in making the election a success. “So in South Sumatra what we are proud of is that all the elements are very united, the Forkopimda, the Regent/Mayor are all united,” said Fatoni while chairing the Preparatory Meeting for the 2024 General Election (Pemilu) in South Sumatra at the South Sumatra Governor’s Office, Palembang, South Sumatra, Tuesday (13 /2/2024).
Fatoni hopes that the 2024 General Election (Pemilu) which will be held on February 14 tomorrow will be better than before. Apart from that, he also hopes that South Sumatra Province will be the best regional election organizer in Indonesia.
“We want a better election than before and we hope South Sumatra will have the best election,” said Fatoni.
Fatoni said that all ranks of the South Sumatra Forkopimda were ready for the upcoming 2024 elections. Apart from that, various precautions have also been prepared including monitoring at a number of polling stations to avoid fraud and unpredictable bad weather.
“The regional government, TNI/Polri, Prosecutor’s Office and all elements are ready to support this. “Ready to support the KPU and Bawaslu for holding the 2024 elections,” said Fatoni.
On the same occasion, Chair of the South Sumatra DPRD Anita Noeringhati thanked all parties for the support in making the 2024 elections a success. She believes that the TNI/Polri, prosecutor’s office and related stakeholders are ready to secure the 2024 elections, including anticipating a number of health workers (nakes) spread across all polling stations.
