Palembang, The Indonesia Post – Dr. Hj. RA. Anita Noeringhati, SH., MH, chairperson of the South Sumatra Province Legislative Council (DPRD) paid a working visit to the Ogan Komering Ilir (OKI) General Election Commission (KPU) office, Wednesday (7/2).
This visit was carried out in the context of sharing information regarding readiness for the presidential election and legislative elections which will be held in OKI district.
During the meeting, the chairman of the South Sumatra Provincial DPRD, Dr.Hj. R.A. Anita Noeringhati, SH., MH discussed with the Ogan Komering Ilir KPU regarding various aspects related to election preparations including the implementation of supervision and community participation.
It is hoped that this exchange of information can improve coordination between the South Sumatra DPRD and the OKI KPU, to ensure that the election runs smoothly and transparently, said the Chair of the South Sumatra DPRD.
This working visit also became a momentum for DrmHj.RA.Anita Noeringhati to listen to the aspirations and input from the OKI KPU and provide support from the Provincial Government in implementing elections in the area.
Meanwhile, the OKI KPU welcomed the visit and cooperation from the South Sumatra DPRD and expressed their readiness to hold elections professionally and transparently.
It is hoped that this working visit will be the first step in building synergy between the legislative body and election organizers in realizing fair and democratic elections for the OIC community. (ojn/ril)
