Palembang, The Indonesia Post – The Chairperson of the South Sumatra Provincial Legislative Council (DPRD), Mrs. Dr. Hj. R.A. Anita Noeringhati, SH., MH., together with the Acting Governor of South Sumatra (Sumsel) Elen Setiadi, S.H., M.S.E, released the South Sumatra contingent that will compete in the 14th National Journalist Sports Week (Porwanas) in 2024 in South Kalimantan (Kalsel). The release of the 72 South Sumatra contingents was held at Griya Agung Palembang, Sunday (18/8/2024).

“Today, God willing, we are sending off the Porwanas contingent to South Kalimantan. Hopefully, it will bring the name of South Sumatra to be better and more advanced,” said Elen Setiadi.
Elen hopes that the 72 contingents from South Sumatra who will compete in the 11 sports branches will win the title.
“We pray for the overall champion, God willing, we are sure that those representing PWI who participate in Porwanas can win the gold medal,” he said.
He said that the Forkopimda and the people of South Sumatra will always pray for the best for Bumi Sriwijaya.
“Good luck fighting as best you can, God willing, we will be at the forefront,” he concluded.
On that occasion, the Acting Governor of South Sumatra Elen Setiadi together with the Chairperson of the South Sumatra Provincial DPRD, Mrs. Dr. Hj. R.A. Anita Noeringhati, SH., MH., symbolically put jackets on the representatives of South Sumatra athletes as a sign that 72 athletes and officials from South Sumatra are ready to depart for South Kalimantan.
