South Sumatra Provincial DPRD Listens to the Governor’s Response to the General Views of the Factions on the 4 Raperda in the 2022 Propemperda

Palembang, The Indonesia Post – After last Monday (21/2/22) the factions submitted their General Opinion on 4 Draft Regional Regulations (Raperda) in the 2022 Regional Regulation Formation Program (Propemperda).

Today (25/2/22) the Provincial Legislative Council (DPRD) of South Sumatra Province listened to the Governor’s answer to the General View of the Factions.

The XLVI Plenary Meeting (46) was chaired by the Deputy Chairman of the DPRD Prov. South Sumatra; H. Muchendi M, SE, attended by the Deputy Governor of South Sumatra; Ir. H. Mawardi Yahya and Pj. Regional Secretary; SA. Supriono, OPD Representatives and other invited guests both in person and virtually.

In the Governor’s Answer which was read by the Deputy Governor of South Sumatra, the explanation of the question, suggestions from the factions on the 4 (four) Raperda was presented, including:

Raperda concerning Retribution for the Use of Foreign Workers,

β€œIn response to the statement from the Golkar Party faction, the PDI-P faction, the PKB faction, and the PKS faction so that the local regulations that have been made can be implemented such as the Regional Regulation on empowerment and placement of workers with the aim of protecting and providing the widest possible guarantee to obtain the greatest possible opportunities for workers. local work so that it can help the lives of our workforce and they are not eliminated, we strongly agree and this is what prompted us to accelerate the discussion of this Ranperda so that it has a legal umbrella in supervising companies in South Sumatra,” explained the Governor.

Raperda concerning Revocation of Regional Regulation Number 6 of 2020 concerning Management of Production Forests and Protected Forests in South Sumatra Province,

“Answering the question from the Democratic Party and the NasDem faction, we can explain that the local government has an interest in the preservation of production forests and protected forests which have a major impact on environmental sustainability, and even though Regional Regulation Number 6 of 2020 is repealed, the provincial government can still supervise the use/ management of production forest and protected forest in South Sumatra Province and in the event of environmental damage caused by over exploitation and over investment, the Provincial Government will take firm action in coordination with the Central Government,” explained the Governor.

Raperda on Construction Services,

“We thank the Gerindra Faction, the Democratic Party Faction, the PKB Faction, the PKS Faction, the PAN Faction and the Hanura Perindo Party Faction so that this Ranperda becomes a benchmark for the quality and quality of construction services which are expected to produce a final product in the form of quality buildings or infrastructure. Furthermore, to impose strict sanctions on service providers who do not meet the qualifications for their work, this will be our concern after the NSPK (Norma, Standards, Procedures and Criteria) will be set by the Government. For community participation, this is intended to be related to supervision, and every complaint will of course be checked as material for evaluation to service providers,” explained the Governor.

The Special Committee that has been formed will carry out Discussion and Research on 4 Raperda from March 1 to 11, 2022, whose report on the Discussion and Research of the Special Committee will be submitted at the XLVI Plenary Session (46) continued on Monday, March 14, 2022. (ojn/mhn/ril)
