Palembang, The Indonesia Post – The Governor of South Sumatra Province received an audience for the South Sumatra Aerobotic Musi Community (KEMAS). KEMAS, whose members are Nanang Jatmiko as the community leader, Muslim as an assembler, and Ebit as an expert in mapping and analyzing data, face the Governor of South Sumatra by bringing his creation in the form of a USV Drone Air which can be used to search for aircraft Black Boxes.

The Governor of South Sumatra, H. Herman Deru, welcomed the findings of the three friends who are citizens of South Sumatra. According to him, these technological findings are very much needed in addressing the needs and problems that occur in society.

“It turns out that this community has sophisticated equipment. I hope this tool can be used for SAR missions. I asked BPBD to communicate with SARNAS, who knows if they still need assistance related to the search for the wreckage of the Sriwijaya Air plane that crashed, “he said.

As explained by the number one person in South Sumatra, these findings will be tested in several stages. Once declared feasible, it will be developed for use and reproduction in humanitarian missions in South Sumatra.

“I welcome findings like this. I have even challenged students and the people of South Sumatra who can make tools to help farmer productivity in South Sumatra, both at the planting stage and until the harvest period,” he said.

Herman Deru believes, his party would be even happier if the people of South Sumatra found a new tool that could provide direct benefits to South Sumatra farmers who have mainstay commodities such as rice, corn and coffee.

“We will foster three people who have succeeded in making this water drone through the South Sumatra Research and Development Agency. So that they can develop their findings even better, ” he said.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of KEMAS, Nanang Jatmiko said that the tool had been made and assembled since 2018. And has gone through four trials to find objects and measure the depth of rivers in Palembang. (imf/ril)
