Medan, The Indonesia Post – The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) monitored the presence of two hot spots in North Sumatra Province (North Sumatra) on Saturday.
Forecast of BMKG Region I Medan, Defri Mandoza, Saturday, said the two hot spots were monitored based on fashionable sensor monitoring via the Tera, Aqua, SNPP and NOAA20 satellites.
“The two hot spots were observed in Padang Bolak Julu District, North Padang Lawas Regency and in Sopoholon District, North Tapanuli Regency,” he said.
Meanwhile, regarding the weather in North Sumatra, it is estimated that the afternoon will be cloudy with the potential for light to moderate rain in the Nias Islands, Asahan, Karo, Simalungun, Labuhan Batu Utara, Labuhan Batu, Medan, Deli Serdang, Langkat, Serdang Bedagai, Batubara, P. Siantar, T. Height, and surroundings.
In the evening there is the potential for light to moderate rain in most parts of North Sumatra and heavy rain in Langkat, Karo, Dairi, Deli Serdang and surrounding areas. Early morning there is potential for light to moderate rain over most of North Sumatra.
The air temperature is 17.0-33.0 degrees Celsius, the humidity is 60-95 percent, and the wind blows from the Southwest-Northwest at a speed of 10-30 km/hour.
Regarding this condition, the public is asked to be aware of the potential for moderate to heavy rain accompanied by strong winds and lightning on the East Slope and Mountains of North Sumatra. (ojn/bbs)
