The Republic of Indonesia targets the declaration to be agreed at the G20 ministerial meeting

Jakarta, The Indonesia Post – The Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) will hold a meeting of G20 manpower ministers in Bali on 12-14 September 2022 with the Indonesian G20 Presidency targeting an agreement to be reached for ministerial declarations.

“Our main target is for the G20 countries to agree on the G20 Manpower Ministers’ Declaration which was discussed at the EWG forum,” said Minister of Manpower Ida Fauziyah in a written statement received in Jakarta, Sunday.

The series of activities in Bali consisted of the Sixth G20 Employment Working Group (EWG Meeting), 2022 G20 OSHNet Annual Meeting. Next, the G20 Labor and Employment Ministers Meeting (LEMM) will be held.

Previously, the Ministry of Manpower had also held the 1st International Conference on Manpower and Sustainable Development (IMSIDE), which was held on 8-9 September 2022 in Bali.

“This series of meetings will be attended directly by the G20 Ministers of Manpower, invited countries, international organizations, as well as a number of engagement groups,” she said.

Ida ensured that thorough preparations had been made by her party to make the series of events a success.

“We express our deepest gratitude to all parties, including Kadin, B20, L20, and the Bali Provincial Government, for their support for the success of this activity,” said the Minister of Manpower.

The Indonesian G20 presidency in the field of employment itself carries the main theme “Improving the Employment Condition to Recover Together” or “Improving Working Conditions to Recover Together)”.

The main theme was then reduced to four priority issues that were discussed in the previous series of EWG meetings. (mhn/bbs)
