Bukit Asam Tbk will certainly have a positive impact on the development of Muara Enim Regency, especially for the Village of Tanjung Enim. It is also related to the economic growth that will be obtained.
Moreover, the KEK is located right in the area of the Sumsel 8 Steam Power Plant (PLTU). PT Bukit Asam plans to develop its business by building a coal downstream, in the form of a gasification processing plant made from mining products.
On the other hand, at the 40th anniversary of PT Bukit Asam this year, Herman Deru believes that PT Bukit Asam continues to contribute to advancing South Sumatra. He also asked PT Bukit Asam to remain a mining company that cares about the environment.
Meanwhile, the President Director of PT Bukit Asam Tbk Arviyan Arifin said, in this 40 years of journey, PT Bukit Asam has faced many challenges and obstacles. However, this has made PT Bukit Asam more mature in developing the mining business.
In fact, PT Bukit Asam also contributed to helping the handling of Covid-19 in South Sumatra. Where more than Rp. 25 billion purely was earmarked for handling and Rp. 6 billion for the procurement of PCR and others.
It is known that the 40th anniversary of PT Bukit Asam’s anniversary was marked by cutting the tumpeng as a sign of gratitude. Not only, PT Bukit Asam also symbolically handed over 9000 charities for the retired PT Bukit Asam and the beneficiary community.
