This is the operational plan for the Hajj season in 1443 Hijri

Riyadh, The Indonesia Post – The General Presidency of Saudi Arabia for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques on Sunday (19/6) launched an operational plan for the Hajj season of 1443 Hijri/2022 AD.

The Presidency of the Two Holy Mosques has also expressed readiness to accept 1 million pilgrims and has deployed 10,000 male and female employees and workers to serve the pilgrims, according to a written statement received from the Ministry of Communication and Information (Kominfo) of Saudi Arabia, Monday.

Head of the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques Sheikh Abdur-Rahman As-Sudais unveiled the plan in the presence of the Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, and Director General of the Directorate General of Public Security, Lt. Gen. Muhammad Abdullah Al Bassami.

As-Sudais said that all topics, services and programs are followed up minute by minute to ensure the highest quality, through a series of indicators that the presidency oversees around the clock.

He said that the presidency has launched smart applications and electronic platforms that will facilitate and enrich the experience of pilgrims.

As-Sudais revealed that the number of recipients of this digital service has reached more than 160 million.

He said that the presidency had allocated a total of 144 gates for the entry of pilgrims to the Grand Mosque.

In addition, the Presidency of the Two Holy Mosques is seeking to distribute 3 million bottles of Zamzam water in one day in the Grand Mosque, and 1 million bottles of Zamzam water in holy places.

As-Sudais said that the full operational capacity of the third expansion chapel, the outer courtyard and the expansion of the King Fahd chapel has been completed.

The courtyard of the Grand Mosque will be reserved only for pilgrims, with the allocation of a special chapel in the basement, and the ground floor and first floor for performing Tawaf rituals.

He said that the presidency has implemented the highest standards of environmental protection in the services rendered at the Two Holy Mosques.

“Alhamdulillah, it is confirmed that the two Hajj seasons over the past two years are free of epidemic cases inside the Two Holy Mosques, considering that the environment of the Grand Mosque is the most sterile in the whole world,” he said.

Various service packages have been prepared to support and facilitate the implementation of the pilgrimage and enrich the experience of pilgrims.

It is intended that the pilgrims who perform the pilgrimage are in good condition and atmosphere.

As-Sudais said that 2,000 electric vehicles had been provided to serve the elderly and disabled, in addition to providing 500 engineering staff.

In addition, the Arafah Sermon will be broadcast and translated into 10 languages. (mhn/bbs)
