HD: Winning is the target but losing doesn’t mean giving up

Palembang, The Indonesia Post – Winning is the target but losing doesn’t mean giving up was conveyed by the Governor of South Sumatra H Herman Deru in front of students from various Islamic Boarding Schools (Pesantren) during the Opening of the PSSI Santri League Kasad Cup 2022.

It was marked by the kick off by Governor Herman Deru accompanied by the Sriwijaya Military Commander II Major General Agus Suhardi and the South Sumatra Police Chief Inspector General Pol Toni Harmanto,

“I appreciate the activities organized by the Sriwijaya Military Command II where this activity shows a love for community sports because football is a sport that according to the survey is favored by the world community, including Indonesia, more specifically South Sumatra,” said HD.

HD also said that the Army Chief of Staff (KASAD) had an initiative with PSSI to hold a student league throughout Indonesia. And not to forget, the Sriwijaya Military Command II followed suit by involving all Islamic boarding schools that had been clarified and registered with PSSI to participate.

“We hope that by holding it, new seeds will emerge which have never been suspected, that it turns out that the pesantren are also good at playing ball, showing an attitude of friendship and sportsmanship that is maintained,” said HD.

HD wishes you a good match to all students who are members of football clubs and advises them to maintain sportsmanship.
