South Sumatra Legislative Council Chairperson Releases Hajj Pilgrims Group 1 of South Sumatra Province in 1445 H/ 2024 AD

Palembang, The Indonesia Post – Chairperson of the South Sumatra Province Legislative Council (DPRD), Dr. Hj. R.A. Anita Noeringhati, SH., MH., together with Acting. Governor of South Sumatra, Dr. Drs. HA. Fatoni, M.Si., Sending off the Hajj Pilgrims from South Sumatra Province in 1445 H/ 2024 AD at the Hajj Dormitory, Palembang. Saturday (11/5/2024).

Anita Noeringhati, on this occasion, also provided moral support to the Hajj pilgrims. In an atmosphere full of emotion, he prayed for the safety and smooth journey of the congregation in carrying out this holy service.

Meanwhile, in his remarks, the Acting Governor of South Sumatra, Agus Fatoni, said that the first departure group consisted of 445 Hajj pilgrims and 5 flight attendants, who were part of a total of 19 Hajj departure groups from the provinces of South Sumatra and Bangka Belitung. Fatoni also wished the pilgrims a happy Hajj and prayed that they would have a successful Hajj.

The release event was also attended by representatives from the South Sumatra Ministry of Religion and the Heads of South Sumatra Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD). The first batch of Hajj pilgrims will be flown from Palembang’s Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Airport (SMB II) to Madinah Airport by Saudi Arabian Airlines aircraft.

With blessings from various parties, the first batch of Hajj pilgrims to Embark on Palembang are ready to begin their holy journey to the holy land. (ojn/ril)
