Palembang, The Indonesia Post – The Regional Secretary of South Sumatra Province, H. Edward Candra, today attended a follow-up coordination meeting held virtually by the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs (Kemenko Polkam).
The meeting aimed to finalize preparations for key upcoming events, namely the 2025 South Sumatra Forest and Land Fire (Karhutla) Preparedness Roll Call, as well as an inspection of the free nutritious meal program and food security land. The meeting took place at the Bina Praja Meeting Room on Thursday, July 17, 2025.
These events are scheduled to be attended in person by the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs, Budi Gunawan.
In his remarks, Edward Candra stated that the roll call will be attended by approximately 1,500 personnel consisting of the TNI, Police, Regional Government Organizations (OPD), and other institutions. The roll call and inspections are planned to be held on July 29, 2025.
“Of course, in terms of readiness, we are fully prepared. We will arrange various activities for his visit, including to the SPPG Sukarami and SDN 129 Palembang,” he said. (mhn/ril)
